I think that it might be a good idea to get away from the words 'Boxe Francaise' down the leg. That identifies it as (and further reinforces in some people's minds that it is) primarily a French sport.
We need to generate the image that it is now a global sport, and not just something that is seen by some as a sport for... well, how can I say this without seeming to be rather un-PC? Let's just say that the integrale is seen by many people (butch British kickboxers in particular) as being somewhat effeminate...
They prepared for us - two part dress from lycra (very comfortable) - with all the writings boxe francaise - savate :)
and it is not integral but for commercial reasons more interesting for newcomers....and people who compare us with other contact sports...but still following the idea of savate dress
good for training and to explain people who want to compete - why we need integral from lycra and not from Polyester like in kickboxing.
There were several differents aspects to the debate: 1) whether or not it was "democratic" to remove posts from the forum 2) whether or not the integrale is or isn't the aspect of savate that separates it from other styles, such as thai 3) whether or not the subject should be debated at the French Fed AGM 4) and some stuff about the backgrounds and locations of some of the people involved in the debate...
I don't think it has been resolved... perhaps it will be debated at the French Fed AGM...

Well... it's a long debate, if you go to www.ffsavate.com and click on "forum" most of the messages between #2828 and #2926 relate to it. Seems to have started when a message about a televised event including chausson Marseillais and savate combat was removed from the forum. Basically, several people arguing about integrales and other clothing for fights... Got very heated at one stage...
