Brilliant bouts all round, every fighter giving 100%.
Respected, hard working and faultless officials.
Support and Sporting spirit - each and every team member made me proud in and out of the ring. Some very memorable momments and history has been made - We have our first European Asaut Championne. 2008.............16 fighters would mean 10 medals maybe more.
Well done all the fighters on beautiful performances in the ring, and well done all the fighters, trainers & coaches on your hard work - the results alone show the hard work everyone has put in. Thanks also to all the people who came along and took care of us - in particular Valerie and Neil, who became our local hosts, and supplied us with party juice :).
Thanks for having me along as well. I'm proud to have been a GB official at this competition. And thanks for helping me along throughout the weekend, Richard!
We had three finalists, and a further two semi-finalists.
Lizzie beat all before her to become European Champion in her weight division. Way to go Lizzie.
In the men's, both James' (Antill and Southwood) fought magnificently to get into their respective finals, but had to be content with 'coming away with the silver' on this occasion. Better luck in the World's in two years time lads.
Our two Bronze medallists, Laura Gilbert and Tony Crossman fought well, but lost their semi-final matches on close decisions.
What can I say! Team GB does it again. One Gold, two Silvers and two Bronze medals - a great performance by everyone, including those who also fought hard but failed to place in the medals.
Also well done to Ross, Charlie, Richard and Nagi for their supporting roles (away from the limelight), both over the weekend and leading up to it.

A little bird tells me that it looks like the Belgians will be running the show this year and that the event probably won't happen until early November! Still, that leaves lots of time to get fit eh!
