RE: Similar martial arts

That's a bit far for me to go, but I might try to head up for a look later this year. And how could I forget him!

Am in touch with Craig and waiting to see if there's any other contacts from Melbourne and might see if they're interested in sorting something out between us all. I would love to start training again.

Hi Jacqui
You should definately contact Craig Gemeiner, he is the main man for Australia and is a nice guy.
Do you remember "BIG" Graham ? He is in Brisbane  and there is a Savae academy there.
Have fun.
Rossy

I've emailed him and there is no Melbourne Savate club. Although I have just asked about similar martial arts I could try, so I'll wait and see!

Hi all,

Some might remember me from the Guildford club a few years ago, I stopped training in 2005 due to injuries though. I've missed the sport greatly!

Since then I've moved to Melbourne, Australia, and there's a slight problem. There's no savate club here. I've found somewhere on the Gold Coast, but obviously this is a bit far for me to travel.

So my question is, what martial arts are similar to savate? I'd like something that can be controlled in the same way, and with the same type of style.
