GreatOne, you've already got your blue glove, haven't you..? Keep training hard, and perhaps you could open a club in Romford before too long...

Okay rabble:

We now have Fridays in Camden Town, 7-8pm, but it starts on 27th Jan (two week's time) owing to the hall being booked until then.

We will get fit, spar loads, try out stuff and treat it as competition training.

If anyone wants to do next Friday (20th) elsewhere, let me know and we can hire a squash court, or other space as a one-off to get us started.

Champions we will become.

James

Friday sounds like fun...

...and i would also like to continue punching and kicking things on thursdays long after the sensible people have crawled home to their arnica.

although it would appear my social life is now doomed

Friday 7-8 does indeed sound good. Consider this an expression of interest. And James, I don't feel abandoned either, in fact I'm delighted that you've got so much interest from people. Can you give up your day job yet?

Friday sounds good james, let us know if you get enough interest. (I don't feel abandoned honestly!)

Right - I can't stand by and watch my students feel abandoned.

Friday class anyone? Camden Town, for sparring only, 1 hr, 7-8pm ? Would be easy to set up quickly if I can get some guaranteed interest.

I love having this many beginners, but I want to get you all trained up for the league as well, and I'm running out of weeknights. Saturday daytime sparring workshop?

Thursdays are full for the next few weeks. Sparring 9-9:30pm can continue if people want to come for that alone (I know it's a short session)

I need a full-time centre. Anyone have a hall they want to give me?

James

Lizzy,

some extra training would definitely be good, especially if the 'official' classes continue to be so busy (one round of sparring a week doesn't really cut the mustard does it now?). Let me know on tuesday what arrangements you had in mind.

Pete.

RE: Ealing Common

I'd love a session on Ealing Common - ooo eeeerrrr !

On a more serious note - any Savateurs in the UK that can make it to leafy Guildford / Farncombe on a Sunday would be very welcome to join our "advanced" training session that are  sparring based and mainly for competitors. We start about midday and end when we are exhausted, well about half an hour after we rea exhausted actually ! These sessions are free to GBSF members - ocasionally we may all chip in a  pound to pay for a squash court if the weather is very inclement.

London Savateurs

Now that James has had such commendable success in bringing new blood (mwah hah hah) to the London Savate group, which has filled up the Thursday classes, are there any other opportunities in London for sparring practice? My flatmates are, like, so uncool about me launching kicks at them while they're trying to cook their tea. If anyone fancies a session on Ealing Common please let me know.
