Lonsdale might have been a good make in the past, but I think you'll find that the name nowaday is just a brand name.
From what I've seen, most of their stuff nowadays is akin to what 'Made in Hong Kong' stuff was when I was a kid! I think you'll find that their gloves are either not real leather, or it's a very poor quality leather.
These cheap sports outlets can also pretend that the original price was anything they like, just to make you think that you are getting a bargain. At the end of the day, you pays yer money and takes yer choice.
I could play Golf with a walking stick - at a push. In fact, thinking about it, I would probably play just as well with that as I would using proper Golf clubs!
I needed to purchase a pair of 12 oz gloves for the upcoming tournament.
First i went to a local martial arts shop in my area,as to be expected there prices are usually quite expensive. He wanted £55.00 for 12 0z [Tsport Gloves].
Ive already got a 10 0z pair of Tsports and im sure i didnt pay as much as what he was asking for them.
Next stop, i looked in Argos but they only had 10 0z and 14 0z gloves.
Then i walked round the corner to Sports World, they were having a closing down sale,70% off all items.Ide never bothered to look in this shop before i thought they only sold sports clothing and football gear.
I thought it was a long shot but asked the shop assistant if they sold boxing gloves.
To my surprise they did upstairs. The shop actually sold quite a good variety of different sports gear and equipment.
I see the gloves from a distance,but i thought it would be just my luck that there'd be no 12 0z gloves,but i was wrong they had a good selection of gloves,8 0z,10 0z,12 0z,14 0z.
They was all Lonsdale Gloves aswell [made in India]lol.
They were originally £29.99 but marked down too £8.99,so i felt i got a good result there.I was quite pleased.
