Wow.....ten years sure does fly by. "From small acorns grow might oaks" someone once said. GBSF now run it's own National League, train and support new instructors, have regular technical grading days.....we are becoming established and respected on the Global Savate scene and are producing some top grade fighters. Good work all round, Officials, Fighters, Trainers, Moniteurs / Instructors, Initiateurs / Assistant Instructors and all enthusiastic practitioners of the art.
On Monday 17th March it will be the 10th anniversary of the Great Britain Savate Federation. A meeting was held in London (which included Michel Roger, then President of the FIS), Martin Ross, Richard Muggeridge, Julie Gabriel, Peter King, James Shortt (Baron Castleshortt) and Ollie Batts. Actually, I believe that Fred Rado was there too if memory serves me right.
Happy Anniversary GBSF. Let's hope that the next 10 years see us with a club in every county in the UK, if not every major town and city.
