RE: WORLD COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIP 2007

Don't worry Pugil ! the person on the french forum is not a judge nor a referee and should shut up anyway ! So let him speak !!!
I heard  a lot about that fight and the tunisian girl has won ! that's it ! it's a shock for France to see Graziani loosing but it proves again that foreign fighters are getting better and better (and it's only the beginning!).
You know that most of the French fighters want to have more and more challenge in the opposite corner.
see you soon i hope !!!smile

simple answer:

5 objective judges needed for finals, 3 of whom should be from neutral countries...

Results in Nouan-Le Fuzelier

I notice that someone has already posted on the Forum on the French Federation website complaining about how foreign Officials who 'judge strangely' are denying the French from winning everything.

I wonder if the person who posted is himself an accredited judge? I also wonder if he'd rather they just kept the World Championships for French competitors anyway, and only have a French Referee and French Judges? At least that way he could ensure that the French win everything.

Maybe he's worried that Savate will eventually go the way of English Boxing - where the French win very little at all nowadays!

Shock defeat for Graziani

Saturday 15th December, 2007

World Championship Combat finals held in Nouan-Le Fuzelier, France

There was a shock result in the female 56-60kg category of the World Championship finale between Ingrid GRAZIANI (France) and Ahlem GRISSET (Tunisia) at the weekend. Despite having a superior height and reach advantage, Graziani lost the decision to the hard-fighting Grisset, the new World Champion.

Over 100 senior men athletes, 40 juniors and about 60 women are expected at the upcoming preliminaries on 9 + 10th June! The exact number entries will only be known end of May. As usual the finals of the championship will be disputed later in the year October - December time.
The results of the tournament will be put online in the following few days after the tournament. On other earlier FIS international savate championships, the results are on the FIS web site: www.fisavate.com .

Is anyone coming to Paris to see the big event of the Elite French championship on Saturday 19th May?
If you are, then I'll keep a copy of their poster for you.

You all seem to have really enjoyed the last league event (4). You are such a happy bunch !

Well, here's some news about your next international competition where I hope to see some of you - if not all!

Book the dates of 9 + 10 JUNE

for the World combat qualifying heats

on the Cote d'Azur around Marseille.

So now you'll all have to think about getting your national competitions done quite early and then get ready for sunbathing with a nice pastis.
